Temple Timeline

A small group of Sai Baba devotees set up a modest prayer room in Film Nagar, Hyderabad. Who could have imagined that a gathering that started for bhajans and prayers would grow into a beacon of faith for thousands?

In response to the growing number of devotees, the first temple structure was built. Regular harathi services began in the new sanctum. It was during this period that the sacred windows touched by Baba were brought here from Dwarakamayi in Shirdi.

During this period the temple complex was greatly expanded. Separate sanctums were built for Sri Dattatreya Swamy, Sri Kshipra Ganapati and Mata Sri Raja Shyamala Devi, and modern facilities were added for the comfort of devotees.

A dedicated sanctum was built for Sri Rama, Sita Devi and Lakshmana. A weekly annadanam program for 1000 devotees every Sunday was also launched at the temple.

A dedicated sanctum for Sri Anjaneya Swamy was established, completing the set of deities at our temple.

Despite global challenges, the temple's devotee community grew stronger. Online darshan and virtual bhajan programs connected devotees worldwide to Baba's grace. The temple continues to serve as a spiritual centre not just for Film Nagar but for devotees around the world.

Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Temple stands as a symbol of faith and devotion, welcoming thousands of devotees every month. With six sacred sanctums, daily harathis, weekly special programs and ongoing annadanam, it reflects Sai Baba's teachings of love, faith and service.
