Sacred day
What is Guru Poornima?
The full-moon day dedicated to honouring one's guru and receiving blessings
✿
Guru Poornima, observed on the full moon of Ashadha, is the sacred festival of honouring one's guru and receiving their blessings. It is also known as Vyasa Poornima, the birth anniversary of the sage Veda Vyasa.
Sri Shirdi Sai Baba stands as guru to countless devotees. His teaching of "Shraddha and Saburi" (faith and patience) guides us in guru vandana on this day. At Mukhti Dhamam, special pujas, bhajans and annadanam seva are held today.
All devotees are welcome to visit the temple on this sacred day and offer guru vandana in Sai Baba's presence. Please contact the temple in advance for darshan timings and special seva details.
